Cafes and
Restaurants
France boasts
one of the most varied and developed cuisines in the world. Haute-cuisine,
bistro-fare and family cooking all rely on quality produce, and
each region is proud of its own specialities. Choose from good
wholesome home cooking and baked goods from little cafes or try
the very best that France can offer in one of many top restaurants.
France is
famous for producing fine wine and over 365 different types of
cheese. These can be sampled at many local vineyards and top cheese
makers.
You
would think that Bastille in Paris is most famous for its
ruins of the prison made famous by the revolt on July 14, 1789.
However it has now become a center of Parisian nightlife and is
home to an array of exciting restaurants, street corner cafés
and various clubs. Very popular with locals and tourists alike.
Café
de Flore
sits just off the Boulevard Saint-Germain, on the Rue Bonaparte
in Paris, France. The classic Art Deco interior of all red seating,
mahogany and mirrors has not changed for over 50 years. Famed
for its intellectual clientele, it was said that Jean-Paul Sartre
and Simone de Beauvoir would meet here and discuss philosophy
over drinks.
Montmartre,
located on the outskirts of paris is quaint and peaceful, with
a hint of old village charm. Elevated above the city, you can
wander around this rural villagewhile perusing its collection
of upscale shops and cafés.
